Weekend in the City

Tamsen and I had tickets to go see Disney on Ice. I decided we should make a weekend of it, so we ended up staying overnight. Tamsen loved the show and thought it was great fun staying overnight in a hotel. The next day, we got up and went swimming at the hotel and then spent most of the day at the zoo.

I thought Tams would love the zoo. Love seeing the animals. When we got there, the first thing we did was ride a little train that goes through the zoo. Tamsen spotted a playground as we were riding through. I told her we'd go play after we'd seen the animals.

She really liked the monkeys and apes. When we were halfway around the zoo, she started asking when she could go play on the playground. Is it time to go to the playground? When can I go play on the playground? Let's go to the playground! So we finally made it back around to the playground. She could have cared less about the animals. But she sure did love that playground!

After the zoo, we ate a restaurant where they have divers. Tams thought it was great and did a lot more watching the people dive instead of eating. But she really liked it and talked non-stop about it for days. It was a really fun weekend.
